“As a family we eat out at least once a week, we decided to try African Swiss restaurant on the R512 on the way to Haarties. what a revelation, the food was fantastic the service outstanding, the host totally awesome, we had duck, eisbein, ribs and calf liver. The food was totally awesome and considering we were there on a Monday night when most restaurants are closed. 100% and we will definitely become regulars! JPC Smith.” via Trip Advisor.

Traditional Southern German and Swiss Food at its best!
We only use natural ingredients when ever possible. A Wiener Schnitzel for example is made out of Veal, crumbed with bread crumbs from our own bakery (natural flour and no chlorin) and fried in Butter Schmalz (essence out of butter), like in the good old days when Mama was proud to cook real food!

Its arguably an art to make Pizza! The base is ultimately what makes a Pizza great! Ours is fermented sour dough, no chlorine in our flour, naturally. You can choose your toppings to your liking, from Eisbein to anchovies, from spinach to speck, we do have over 30 toppings to choose from!
Our bread is made fresh daily. Again completelly natural ingredients. Swiss style. We can make for you on order.

What ever your needs are, from birthday parties or wine tastings, corporate functions or year end sessions, we are here for you! AFRICANSWISS can serve up to 100 guests, up to 50 guests a la carte. We are always willing to go the last mile, but that you know already!

This must be one of the most impressive Hiking Trails in Hartbeespoort Dam! Endless views of the water, at the back the oldest mountains on earth. the Magalies Mountains! Unforgettable and safe walking on specially prepared hiking trail, swiss style.

AFRICANSWISS welcomes childrens! We do have a safe playground, conveniently placed for parents to watch their children play, we know how it feels like!

We do offer beautiful accommodation at the AFRICANSWISS Restaurant. No need to drive home after a meal! All with giorgious views over the Hartbeespoort Dam towards Magalies Mountains.
